MAUI ENDURANCE RACING
We are USAT Level 1, Training Peaks Level 2, and Ironman Certified based on Maui with client athletes located in Hawaii and on the Mainland. We believe that everyone can be a triathlete, regardless of their age, fitness level, or experience. Our coaching philosophy is based on the belief that training can be fun, challenging, and achievable. We work with athletes to develop training plans that fit their individual needs and goals as well as busy life schedules.
We are passionate about helping people achieve their fitness goals and committed to providing athletes with the support and guidance they need to succeed.
Using Training Peaks exclusively, we work with athletes to create an annual training plan which helps keep smaller monthly/weekly cycles and daily sessions on track.
Listening to athlete feedback and analyzing Training Peaks data helps to have a clear picture of athletes progression. Over-work and lack of recovery can be checked early by watching performance data. Approachable and comfortable communication. Athlete feedback through daily comments and text messages are encouraged.
After an initial interview to decide if we're a good fit, we will create an annual training plan. Monthly and weekly blocks with daily sessions set around your busy life schedule. Daily commentary after your sessions provides feedback to learn how you're feeling and the way forward. Adjustments will be made to fit your needs. Recovery leads to adaptation, so that will be a large part of your routine. Weight training, also part of your routine, is an important part of keeping muscles and joints injury free. We'll come up with a plan that fits what's available to you. Fueling and hydration will be practiced every day, so race day is a breeze, the body fully adapted with a practiced and well thought out fueling plan. Long term goals taken into account, we create a plan to get you where you want to be no matter how long it takes.
One thing we've gained by all the years of study and continuing education is a treasure chest of resources. Conversations and connections with other coaches and listening to how they learned from specific challenges has been invaluable. We are also enrolled in the Vanguard Endurance/ Coach Justin Trolle mentorship program. Learning from elite coaches and joining in on discussions has truly progressed learning and implementation.
Being part of team is important even in individual sports.
Things to consider about our coaching services:
✔ Training plans: Creation of personalized training plans for athletes of all levels. These plans take into account the athlete's experience, fitness level, and goals. Annual training plans keep athlete on track from race to race with long term goals in mind.
✔ Nutrition advice: We will use our experience, knowledge and access to resources to provide you with nutrition advice to help fuel training and racing. This advice may include information on diet, with tips on how to make healthy choices as well as race day fueling and hydration.
✔ Recovery advice: Recovery is key to adaptation. Adaptation is where the gains are made. Recovery helps avoid injuries and get the most out of training. This advice may include tips on how to stretch, foam roll, and sleep. Guilt free days off when needed also help keep an athlete recovered, adapting and mentally fresh, important to keep in mind over long training blocks.
✔ Motivation: We are a key part of your team. Providing motivation and support to help you stay on track with your training. This may include regular check-ins, pep talks, and accountability. We have good days and bad days together, learning from both.

✔ Convenience: Online coaching is convenient for athletes who live in remote areas or who have busy schedules. Athletes can access their coach's advice and support from anywhere in the world. Communication and approachability is important. We want to be able to help make adjustments and answer questions as needed.

Being able to help make training easier and approachable is the goal. Our ability to help make your training block as fun and productive as possible will help you achieve your goals.

✔ Communicate your goals: Be clear about your goals for the race or triathlon season. This will help the coach create a training plan that is tailored to your needs.
✔ Be prepared to work hard: Working with us is a commitment. We will give you the support and tools for success, but you will need to be prepared to put in the time and effort required to reach your goals.
